Ajan Khanna - Founder
Ajan Khanna is an Australian engineer, entrepreneur and product innovator based in Sydney. He is the designer and driving force behind the Power Buddy PRO 2700.
Ajan earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Telecommunications and gained early career experience integrating enterprise systems. Working for organisations including PricewaterhouseCoopers, Westpac, Optus, Allianz, AMP, Australia Post and National Australia Bank, Ajan built a foundation in reliability, safety and performance under demanding conditions. In 2002, he founded Groovy Gadgets and spent more than two decades developing a broad portfolio of consumer electronics – building deep practical expertise in product invention, prototyping, design for manufacture, compliance, intellectual property development and scaling production.
His best-known product, the JINX Luminous Jellyfish lamp, has achieved over 200,000 (and growing) total sales across 300+ retailers in three countries. He has also built a substantial intellectual property portfolio including registered trademarks, design registrations and a pending Australian patent for spark suppression technology in battery-powered devices.
Power Buddy mobile power stations
Since 2017, Ajan has focused on Power Buddy, applying his accumulated engineering and manufacturing experience to higher-power, sustainability-aligned technology. The Power Buddy PRO 2700, rated at 2,700 watts with LiFePO4 battery technology and MPPT solar charging, is in its final stages of development. It is the result of a hands-on, engineering-first philosophy: technology designed to work reliably, built with care, and backed by decades of real product and manufacturing experience.
In recognising the future of portable battery power and the importance of emission-free energy systems, Power Buddy® power stations have been developed to be a convenient gasoline-free alternative to generators.
Being based on Lithium battery technology, Power Buddy® products carry many advantages over traditional generators including being lighter, noise free, emission free and standalone (ability to charge from solar energy).
